ski trainer

Concept

A wheeled chassis that could be mounted to ski boots for ski training during the summer months. The client had applied for a patent and had a set of preliminary drawings. They also had a rough prototype.

Design

We made some changes to the existing prototype and created a set of drawings based on the prototype test results.

Prototype

We created a new prototype that incorporated the functional elements of the original prototype but also included improved aesthetics of the design.

Manufacture

We built an initial run of 25 pair of trainers which were distributed to ski racers around the world. Minor design changes were made based on their feedback, and to increase manufacturability on a larger scale. We then completed an order for 530 pair of trainers - packaged and ready for sale.
